Acura NSX Concept Detroit Auto Show Video
The Detroit Auto Show stage came to life when the Acura NSX Concept made its presence known. This Concept has been in the works for awhile now, and this is the first time that a preview of the interior was revealed. While Acura does say that this is just “one possible direction” for the end production result, from the looks of it, the Acura designers have their ducks in a row to coming up with an exciting new edition into the supersports car segment.
Mike Accavitti, vice president of national marketing operations was happy to point out, “This further evolution of the Acura NSX Concept design is remarkably true to the original concept styling. We’re making great progress in delivering on the expectations we created a year ago, with advanced technology that will bring new levels of performance and a unique, dynamic experience to the exotic sports car market.” Chief designer, Acura Design Studio, Jon Ikeda commented, “Consistent with the spirit of the original NSX, our intention is to support the psychological and emotional aspects of driving a super car at the limit, because we are insistent about delivering on the synergy between man and machine. Importantly, this will be true of all Acura vehicles moving forward.”
This synergy between man and machine is evident in the futuristic cockpit design of the Acura NSC Concept. The sports seats are fully supportive to offer the driver and passenger a secure riding experience. The technology promises to be on the cutting edge of superior to go along with the powerful performance and dynamic handling. All of this is being developed by a global research and development team led by the designers and engineers at Honda R&D Americas, Inc. These offices are based in Los Angeles, California and Raymond, Ohio. Production on the final version will be done in central Ohio although there is no word yet on when that will begin.
