Auto sales up 8% at the end of 2013
More people have entered the new year in style, with car sales up 8% at the end of 2013.
Auto sales analysts are saying Americans bought around 1.4 million new cars and trucks last month, which is the fourth best month for car sales of the year. The car industry will likely end the year 2014 with an estimated 15.6 million cars and trucks sold, which is 8% better than the number sold in 2012.
Bill Lovegreen of Lovegreen Ford Chrysler says the three things that has risen the auto sales are the product quality, financing and affordability of the new-aged automobiles.
“I think the reason car sales are up is a three fold: number one is the auto-manufacturers are building probably the best product that they've ever had. The fuel economy is good, the styling is good and the dependability of these new vehicles is exceptional. Financing is very easy for people today... much easier than it was three or four years ago and the rates continue to be very low so that makes much more affordable payments,” says Lovegreen
The upgrade in the product has to do with styling, fuel economy and quality.
