2013 U.S. Open live streaming: How to watch Friday's round online

By Mark Sandritter on Jun 14 2013

The 2013 U.S. Open continues on Friday and once again viewers will be able to follow two featured groups via online and mobile streams. After a long and wet day on Thursday, it's shaping up to be a long day at the Merion Golf Club on Friday as roughly half the field will hit the course in the morning to finish their first round. While the start of the second round will be delayed, the same streaming options will be available.
Tiger Woods headlines the first marquee group of the second round and depending how he finishes his first round, he may be playing to make the cut. Woods got off to a slow start on Thursday and is 2-over through 10 holes. As he did on Thursday, Woods will play with Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott on Friday. They were originally scheduled to tee off at 7:44 a.m. ET on Friday, but their second-round tee time is now tentatively scheduled for 10:44 a.m.
The second marquee group of the day will feature Thursday's clubhouse leader as Phil Mickelson attempts to follow up his 3-under 67 with another strong round. Mickelson will play with Steve Stricker and Keegan Bradley on Friday. Stricker struggled over his final nine holes on Thursday, finishing with a 1-over 71 while Bradley had a nightmarish first round and opens Friday at 7-over. The group is scheduled to tee off at 3:41 p.m.
While viewers will be limited to online streams of just the two marquee groups, they will have multiple options in how they choose to watch the streams. Those using a computer will be able to watch the marquee group streams on USOpen.com. Viewers using Apple or Android mobile devices can watch the streams by downloading the official U.S. Open app. The app, which is available for iPad, iPhone and Android devices, includes live streaming video of the marque groups as well as scorecards, statistics and other features. The U.S. Open applications are available in the iTunes and Google Play stores.
