Sony Xperia Tablet Z sails to India shores this June, up for pre-order

The Xperia Tablet Z, which was announced worldwide along with the Sony flagship Xperia Z, is hitting India shores soon. Though officially not confirmed, we are now seeing pre-order advertisements on a slew of e-commerce sites. That being the case, we need to expect the device to come to the India market place at least by the first week of June.

Most of the e-com websites have advertised two versions, as per the internal memory and 3G options available. While the 16GB variant is expected to be 3G compatible, the 32 GB internal memory tablet will be a Wi-Fi only variant.  If you are looking at pre-order options, we suggest you need to keep at least Rs. 45000 ready.

Justifying the cost is the device’s amazing features and specifications. Akin to the phone sibling, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also touts water and dust resistance properties.

The 10.1 inch tablet features a full HD display with 1920x 1200 pixels resolution and comes boasting Sony’s own Mobile BRAVIA Engine2.

Powered by Android Jelly Bean 4.1 OS, the slate has a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM under the bonnet. There is an expandable memory card slot that can be enhanced upto 64 GB.

The Xperia Z tablet comes with an 8.1 megapixel rear snapper with 16X digital zoom and a 2.2 MP front facing camera for video calling. The device supports HD video recording (1080p) and comes with Exmor R sensor. The power juice flows in from a generous 6000mAh battery.
