Kylie, 45, who appears on the show this Saturday, told us: "What's been interesting is when you find a morsel of information or experience or a story that just comes out in conversation.
"I've surprised myself and have thought, 'I hadn't planned that but that's a good bit of advice.' "I didn't have a mentor when I started out so I hope that I can be a good one."
Kylie joins US rapper Will.i.am, the legendary Sir Tom Jones and Kaiser Chiefs singer Ricky Wilson for the new series of the talent show, adding that she isn't looking forward to rejecting wannabes.

"I don't like decisions at the best of times and this is constant decision making so I'll just have to go with that gut reaction," she says.
Black Eyed Peas group member Will.i.am, 38, who has been on the show since its beginning in 2012, says the pint-sized Aussie singer is a very welcome addition.
He said: "Each one of the contestants wants to possess what Kylie has accomplished and no one on the panel last year could provide that to the singers so I was thinking, 'Wow, Kylie would be awesome because she's the only person in contemporary music that has that experience.'"
