Buy the New Nexus 7 Before its Official Release Date

Best Buy is currently shipping the second-generation Nexus 7 ahead of its official release date. This means you could potentially receive the 7-inch tablet before it starts shipping from Google's Play Store on July 30th. Several sources are also reporting that the tablet is in stock at select brick and mortar Best Buy locations. You can order the 16GB or 32GB WiFi-only models from BestBuy.com for $230 and $270, respectively.

If you really can't wait to get your hands on the new Google slate, Amazon is guaranteeing Monday delivery if your order in the next five hours. However, Amazon only has the 16GB WiFi model in stock. That is unnless you want to pay an extra $30 to a third party seller for the 32GB version, which would make absolutely no sense since the tablet is already readily available.

The AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile 32GB LTE model is still not available, but Google has promised it is only a "couple of weeks" away.

The second-generation Nexus 7 is a great deal for consumers looking for an affordable tablet. It features a higher resolution display than the current iPad mini, and includes Android 4.2, which features parental controls for monitoring children's app and in-app purchases. The 7-inch tablet is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2GB of RAM, and it ships with a new 5MP rear-facing camera, plus NFC and Bluetooth 4.0 support.
