No entry-level BB 10 devices this year
If you're a BlackBerry fan but find the Z10the Canada-based company wants to focus its effort on the high-end market.
"Our intention is to evolve that portfolio to enter the mid-tier." Bates added, "But we don't see us getting to the entry-level tier for some time; certainly not this year."
However, it doesn't necessarily mean that the entry-level family of Curve handhelds will immediately become obsolete. After all, BlackBerry has committed to supporting its previous-generation operating system, BB 7, at least "for a while".
That could reassure BlackBerry's loyal fans in Asia, the Middle East and Africa--a sizable chunk of which are on the prepaid plans and usually don't spend too much on a phone.
