Some Xbox One users banned for swearing
If you have the tendency to swear in the heat of game and just purchased an Xbox One
console, sharing your gameplay recordings on Xbox Live might be a bad
idea. That's because Microsoft has been reportedly banning users after
they allegedly uploaded videos laced with excessive profanity.
These temporary punishments can range from an Xbox Live ban to barring users from using the Upload Studio function and their Kinect cameras, according to the The Verge. Microsoft has also clarified that these videos violate the code of conduct for its Xbox Live service and has issued the following statement.
"We take code of conduct moderation via Upload Studio very seriously. We want a clean, safe, and fun environment for all users. Excessive profanity as well as other code of conduct violations will be enforced upon and result in suspension of some or all privileges on Xbox Live."
It is still unclear what exactly constitutes "excessive" profanity, but until we can get a better idea, you might like to avoid swearing in the gameplay videos you intend to share with your gaming mates.
